James Jordan

James Jordan is a recognized authority on the applications of the theories of Laban Movement Analysis to conducting and conducting pedagogy. His 15 books address wide ranging topics from the philosophy of music making to pedagogy to rehearsal technique. His latest publications are Inward Bound, a comprehensive text of score analysis techniques, and The Anatomy of Conducting, a DVD with state-of-the-art movement capture animation. He is senior conductor at Westminster Choir College where he conducts both the Schola Cantorum and the premiere chamber ensemble of the school, The Westminster Williamson Voices. He is also the artistic director and founder of a new professional choir based in Philadelphia, Anam Cara.
