Melissa Dibble

general manager and director of client partnerships, EmcArts

Melissa Dibble is the Director of Client Partnerships and General Manager of EmcArts. Melissa develops new partnerships with clients in the arts and culture field, tailoring the programs and services of EmcArts to the needs of leading arts organizations and funding agencies. She also serves as the company’s General Manager, overseeing all personnel and hiring at EmcArts, managing financial planning, and serving as Secretary to the Board.
Melissa's current project delivery work includes engagements with the Irvine Foundation’s Artistic Innovation Fund, the New Strategies Lab, The Academy (a program of Carnegie Hall, The Juilliard School and Weill Music Institute), and the Global Encounters Program of Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Institute. During her six years at EmcArts, she has led assessment and planning projects with the Act II Playhouse (Ambler, PA), the Borough of Lansdale (PA), and Indian Hill Music Center (Littleton, MA), and has been a member of the project team for projects with the Wallace Foundation, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and New England Conservatory, among others.
Melissa joined EmcArts after a decade of experience in the orchestra field, where she fostered tremendous growth in the community programs of major symphony orchestras. At the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra, she established the Community Partnerships Department. As Director of Community Partnerships, she worked collaboratively with Orchestra and staff members and community leaders to design programs that were both relevant to the audiences they were created to serve and artistically fulfilling to the musicians who performed them. Melissa came to the SLSO from the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra where she served as its Community Outreach Manager.
