Steve Seifert is the Executive Director of the Newman Center for the Performing Arts at the University of Denver. Before assuming his duties at the Newman Center, Steve consulted the City of Denver regarding the renovation of Denver's Auditorium Theatre, now the Ellie Caulkins Opera House and was an integral part of the successful public bond campaign conducted by the Friends of Denver's Historic Auditorium Theatre. Steve was Executive Director of Opera Colorado for four years. He was the Chairman of the Board of Opera Colorado from 1989-1992 and served on its Board of Directors for a total of six years. Steve practiced commercial bankruptcy and corporate workout law for 14 years with the Denver firm Fairfield and Woods, P.C., where he served two terms as Managing Director. He received his B.A. from Yale College and his J.D. from Stanford Law School.
